What changed vs 2025
Peak competition eased year-on-year — the most oversubscribed school among this list balloted at 3.15× in 2025; in 2026 the peak is 2.6×, at Nanyang Primary School.
Cooled most: CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh) (2.24×→1.06×), Tao Nan School (3.15×→2×).
Risers: St. Anthony's Primary School (+0.55×), Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School (+0.47×), Canossa Catholic Primary School (+0.47×).
Why do some schools show 0 spots in Phase 2A?
Take Canossa Catholic Primary School, which has 120 places in total, and saw 61 students apply in Phase 1 — the phase for students whose siblings are currently in the school.
With 60 places reserved for Phases 2B and 2C, it means there is no open spot in Phase 2A — the phase predominantly for children of alumni.
Children whose parents are staff members at the school, or members of the school advisory or management committee, also come under this phase.
Phase 2A wrapped — final results
31 of 179 schools balloted in Phase 2A.
7,842 Phase 2A applicants across all schools — final.
35 schools are oversubscribed; 4 of them — Nan Hua, Valour, Zhenghua, Jing Shan — won't ballot, as they admit only Singapore-Citizen children within a set distance.
