Why P1 ballot history matters
for parents & your shortlist
The schools that ballot every year are not secrets — they are patterns. Planning 3 years ahead with this data separates a considered shortlist from a stressful gamble.
Knowing which schools ballot helps you set realistic expectations. A school that has balloted every year since 2019 is unlikely to change in your registration year — factor that in early.
Cross-reference your home address phase priority with this 7-year ballot record before committing. A 3× oversubscription ratio means only 1 in 3 Phase 2C applicants will secure a place — make sure your backup school is genuinely viable.
Data Notes
- 2019–2023 data: third-party archive sourced from MOE-published annual registration reports.
- 2024–2025 data: MOE official release.
- Phase 2C oversubscription ratio = applicants ÷ vacancies. A ratio above 1.0 means a ballot was held; only applicants who “win” the ballot secure a place. Distance (MOE/OneMap routing) is the tiebreaker within each band.
- Schools marked “P1 suspended” are not accepting Primary 1 registration for 2025–2028 due to school relocation; historical data remains for reference.
- This hub revalidates daily. Ballot counts are Phase 2C unless otherwise stated.
