MOE School Calendar 2027Term Dates, Holidays & Exams
2027 is a good year to be a parent. Of the 12 public holidays, five are Mon or Fri— New Year's Day, the Chinese New Year holiday in lieu on 8 February, Good Friday, Hari Raya Haji and National Day. That is five long weekends without touching your leave.
Two more are worth one day each. Vesak Day falls on Thursday 20 May and Deepavali on Thursday 28 October — take the Friday off and both become four-day breaks. May is the month to watch: Hari Raya Haji on Monday 17th and Vesak on Thursday 20th land in the same week.
The bad news is short. Labour Day and Christmas Day both fall on a Saturday, and Singapore does not give a day in lieu for a Saturday holiday, so those two are simply gone.

A public holiday falling on a Sunday is followed by a day in lieu on the Monday. One falling on a Saturday does not carry a day in lieu.
