Terms of Service.

By using SGSchoolKaki you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SGSchoolKaki platform (“Platform”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Platform — whether as a parent, caregiver, preschool operator, or visitor — you accept these Terms in full. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation (e.g., a preschool operator), you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

2. Accounts

2.1 Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • If you are 13–17 years old, you may use the Platform with verifiable parental consent.
  • Users under 13 may not create accounts. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. SGSchoolKaki is not liable for losses resulting from failure to protect your credentials.

2.3 Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts for: violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abusive behaviour toward other users or operators, or prolonged inactivity (over 24 months with no login).

3. Parent Terms

3.1 Shortlisting

Parents may save preschools to a personal shortlist. Shortlisted data is private and is not shared with operators without your consent.

3.2 Submitting Inquiries

When you submit an inquiry to a preschool operator, you:

  • Confirm that the contact details you provide are accurate and belong to you.
  • Give explicit consent for SGSchoolKaki to share your name, email, phone number, and message with the operator.
  • Acknowledge that SGSchoolKaki is a platform intermediary and does not guarantee that the operator will respond to your inquiry.
  • Understand that the lead charge (if any) is levied against the operator, not the parent.

3.3 No Enrolment Guarantee

SGSchoolKaki facilitates connections between parents and preschools. We make no representation or warranty regarding the availability of places, the quality, safety, or suitability of any preschool, or the outcome of any enrolment application. Always verify information directly with the preschool and ECDA.

4. Operator Terms

4.1 Verification

To access the operator dashboard, you must complete email verification and upload a valid ECDA licence certificate. SGSchoolKaki reserves the right to reject or revoke operator status if the licence cannot be verified. Operators must maintain a valid ECDA licence throughout their subscription.

4.2 Accurate Listings

Operators are responsible for the accuracy of their centre listings, including fees, programmes, photos, and contact details. Misleading or false information may result in immediate suspension.

4.3 Response Time Expectations

We expect operators to respond to parent inquiries within 3 business days. Consistent non-response may affect listing visibility. SGSchoolKaki does not guarantee inquiry quality or parent intent.

4.4 Lead Delivery and Charges

A flat lead charge of S$10 per delivered inquiry applies to operators on pay-per-lead plans. The charge is incurred at the time of delivery. Operators may request a refund within 14 calendar daysof delivery if the parent’s contact details are demonstrably unreachable (bounced email AND disconnected phone). Refund requests must be submitted via email to [email protected] with evidence.

4.5 Subscriptions (Verified / Featured)

Subscription plans are billed monthly or annually via our third-party payment processor. Subscriptions auto-renew. You may cancel at any time via the operator dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Pro-rated refunds are available for annual subscriptions cancelled within 14 days of the billing date.

4.6 Prohibited Conduct

Operators may not:

  • Make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about their programmes or fees.
  • Upload photos or content they do not own or are not licensed to use.
  • Engage in or promote illegal, dangerous, or discriminatory activities.
  • Circumvent lead fees by directing parents off-platform before the first contact.
  • Create fake reviews or manipulate platform rankings.

5. Content

5.1 Operator-Uploaded Content

By uploading photos, descriptions, or other content to the Platform, you confirm you own or are licensed to use that content and grant SGSchoolKaki a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the Platform and in promotional materials. SGSchoolKaki may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards, without prior notice.

5.2 Parent Reviews

Parent reviews and ratings represent the opinions of individual users. SGSchoolKaki does not verify the accuracy of reviews and is not liable for their content. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are defamatory, abusive, spam, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.

5.3 Platform Data (MOE / ECDA)

School and preschool data sourced from MOE, ECDA, and other government sources is used with attribution and remains the property of the Singapore Government. This data is provided for reference only. Verify critical information directly with official sources before making enrolment decisions.

6. Payments & Refunds

  • All prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and inclusive of applicable GST.
  • Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. SGSchoolKaki does not store raw card numbers.
  • Lead charges: S$10 per delivered inquiry; refundable within 14 days if lead is demonstrably unreachable.
  • Monthly subscriptions: Non-refundable for the current billing period; cancellation prevents future charges.
  • Annual subscriptions: Pro-rated refund available if cancelled within 14 days of the billing date; thereafter non-refundable for the current period.
  • Disputed charges must be raised with us at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback. Unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension.

7. Liability

7.1 Platform Provided “As Is”

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

7.2 No Liability for Preschool Quality

SGSchoolKaki is a directory and matching platform. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, suitability, or regulatory compliance of any listed preschool. Operator-parent disputes are between the relevant parties. SGSchoolKaki is not a party to any agreement between a parent and an operator.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, SGSchoolKaki’s aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to SGSchoolKaki in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time via account settings or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion removes your personal profile data within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations (see Privacy Policy Section 6).

By us:We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, or for any other reason with 14 days’ written notice. Operators will receive a pro-rated refund for unused subscription days upon termination by us without cause.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. You waive any objection to proceedings in Singapore on grounds of inconvenient forum.
