MOE School Calendar 2022Term Dates, Holidays & Exams
2022 is done, kept here for reference. Four public holidays fell on a Sunday that year, so four in-lieu Mondays and Tuesdays were added on top — 15 days off in total.
Early May was the best stretch of the year. Labour Day fell on Sunday 1 May, Hari Raya Puasa on Monday 2 May, and because the Monday was already taken the Labour Day holiday moved to Tuesday 3 May — four days off from the Saturday. Vesak Day on Sunday 15 May then added Monday 16 May, and Hari Raya Haji on Sunday 10 July added Monday 11 July.
Christmas Day fell on a Sunday too, so Monday 26 December closed the year. The school year ran 4 January to 18 November.

A public holiday falling on a Sunday is followed by a day in lieu on the Monday. One falling on a Saturday does not carry a day in lieu.

Four terms across two semesters. The gap after Term 2 is the mid-year break; the gap after Term 4 is the year-end holiday.
