MOE School Calendar 2021Term Dates, Holidays & Exams
2021 is done, kept here for reference. It ran 11 public holidays with no in-lieu days at all — nothing fell on a Sunday, and Singapore gives no day in lieu when a holiday lands on a Saturday.
That cut both ways. Four holidays gave a free long weekend — New Year's Day, Chinese New Year on Friday 12 February, Good Friday on 2 April and National Day on Monday 9 August. But three were simply lost to Saturdays: the second day of Chinese New Year on 13 February, Labour Day on 1 May and Christmas Day on 25 December.
The school year ran from 4 January to 19 November, and Hari Raya Haji sat on its own in the June–July stretch, on Tuesday 20 July.

A public holiday falling on a Sunday is followed by a day in lieu on the Monday. One falling on a Saturday does not carry a day in lieu.

Four terms across two semesters. The gap after Term 2 is the mid-year break; the gap after Term 4 is the year-end holiday.
