Singapore's youngest polytechnic, with 41 diplomas and the country's only full Problem-Based Learning curriculum. EAE applications open 25 Jun – 1 Jul 2026— RP's sports-science, outdoor-learning and health-services programmes are unmatched in any other Singapore polytechnic.
“RP is Singapore's sports, wellness and outdoor-recreation polytechnic. If your application story revolves around CCAs, coaching, fitness or expeditions — and you can show you thrive in small problem-solving teams — RP is built for you.”

RP uses different assessment formats depending on the diploma. The exact format is confirmed in the EAE portal when you apply.
All applicants submit a 600-character write-up per course, explaining their passion and aptitude. RP shortlists based on write-up quality before inviting candidates to a PBL-style team-task assessment plus interview.
Successful applicants receive conditional offers BEFORE O-Level results / final GPA. To convert to firm admission, you must still meet the polytechnic's Minimum Entry Requirements (MERs) for the course offered.
RP uses team problem-solving, so talk about a time you worked with others to fix something — sports, CCA or a group project all work. Show that you like figuring things out, not just following instructions.

For RP, think about stories from team sport, outdoor activities or any time you had to figure out a problem with a group. Those fit their PBL style really well and are good to mention in your write-up.
