About SAP Schools
What are SAP schools?
Special Assistance Plan (SAP) schools offer a unique bicultural education where students study both English and Chinese at a high level. Established in 1979, the SAP programme aims to develop effectively bilingual students who are well-versed in both Western and Chinese cultures.
SAP schools offer Higher Chinese Language (HCL) and a rich array of Chinese cultural activities, from calligraphy and Chinese orchestra to cultural immersion trips. Many SAP schools are among Singapore's most established institutions with strong traditions and alumni networks.
