my daughters school started implementing more mixed level teaching this year where students doing different levels (foundation/standard/advanced) all in same class the teacher supposed to give different worksheets and activities based on each students level. sounds good in theory but im worried: 1. does the teacher really have time to give proper attention to each group? 2. will my daughter (standard level) feel bad seeing classmates doing advanced work? 3. or worse, will advanced students look down on foundation level students? the school says this promotes inclusivity and reduces stigma about different ability levels. but from what i observe my daughter coming home and just doing the worksheet assigned to her without much teacher interaction wondering if other parents experiencing this? are your kids getting adequate support in mixed level classes? or should i request for ability-grouped classes instead if available? honestly this new system making me quite confused and worried about the quality of education my daughter receiving
