got option to do double degree (business + computing) or single degree business with computing minor double degree pros: - two full degrees looks impressive on resume - learn both fields in depth - more career flexibility double degree cons: - 5 years instead of 4 years - much heavier workload - delayed graduation means delayed earning - might be spreading myself too thin single degree with minor pros: - finish in 4 years - less stressful workload - one clear specialization single degree with minor cons: - minor might not be valued much by employers - less depth in second field my ultimate goal is to work in fintech or business analytics kind of role where both business and tech knowledge useful. not sure which combination gives better preparation also concerned about work-life balance during university. heard double degree students basically have no life cause constantly chiong-ing. is the extra stress worth it? would appreciate perspectives especially from people in or graduated from double degree programs. did having two degrees actually help with jobs or is it just for show?
