The PSLE 2026 examination runs 75 exam sessions from August 12 to September 30, covering English, Mathematics, Science, Mother Tongue, and Higher Mother Tongue across 3 assessment modes over 7 intensive weeks.

Oral Exam Dates (Aug 12–13)

The PSLE oral examinations kick off the exam season in August. Students are assessed on Reading Aloud and Stimulus-Based Conversation. Oral exams are conducted across multiple sessions over 2 days to accommodate all P6 students. All oral sessions run from 08:00 to 13:30.

Oral Exam Format

Each student's oral exam takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Students are given a passage to read aloud, followed by a conversation based on a visual stimulus (picture or video). Your child's school will inform you of the specific reporting time and session.

Listening Comprehension (Sep 15)

The Listening Comprehension (LC) exams are all held on Monday 15 September in two sessions. The Mother Tongue LC sits in the morning session at 09:00, followed by the English LC in the late-morning session at 11:15. Students should bring their own stationery and arrive at least 15 minutes before the exam starts.

LC Exam Tips

The LC exam is played through speakers in the exam hall. Audio is played only once, so students should practise active listening. Read all questions before the audio begins and take quick notes during playback.

Important Reminders

  • Students should arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time.
  • Bring your student card and all required stationery.
  • Electronic devices (including smartwatches) are not allowed in the exam hall.
  • Approved calculators may be used for Mathematics Paper 2 only.
