📝 Understanding Radicals (部首)
Radicals are the building blocks of Chinese characters. Knowing radicals helps you guess the meaning of new characters. For example, characters with the 女 radical often relate to women or family (妈, 姐, 妹), while characters with 口 often relate to the mouth or speaking (吃, 喝, 听).
| Radical | Meaning | Examples |
|---|---|---|
Which radical (部首) tells you a character relates to water or liquid?
