Practical preparation for exam day can make a big difference. Follow these tips to maximise your performance.

1

Arrive Early

Reach the exam venue at least 30 minutes early. Settle in, find your seat, and familiarise yourself with the room acoustics.

2

Check Your Equipment

Ensure you can hear the audio clearly from your seat. If you have difficulty hearing, inform the invigilator before the exam begins.

3

Bring Proper Stationery

Have at least two sharp pencils (2B), an eraser, and a pen. Pencil is recommended for rough notes so you can make changes easily.

4

Stay Calm During Instructions

Listen carefully to the invigilator's instructions. They may provide important information about the audio format or timing.

5

Do Not Leave Blanks

For MCQ, always select an answer even if you are unsure. You have a 25% chance of getting it right. Blank answers score zero.

Strategy: The Night Before -- Get a good night's sleep. Avoid listening to loud music with earphones -- your ears need to be fresh. Bring a working pen (not pencil) and arrive early to settle into your seat.

🧠Quick Check

You missed a question during both listens. What should you do?

ALeave it blank
BMake an educated guess
CWrite a question mark
DAsk the invigilator
📅Key Takeaway
Arrive early, test equipment, bring extra pens. NEVER leave blanks — educated guesses can earn marks!
